Angelo, Darryl, and Loufel have been long involved within each others’ career journeys through previous and current work experiences. They have all branched out as independent artists in the past few years but like many in the year 2020, they were forced to make some big changes from ending leases and full on salon shutdowns. Fortunately, a timely opportunity of being able to start fresh and focus on what they are passionate about in a new environment presented itself and they were able to come together to bring their ideas to life. They are a collective of unique artists but also great friends that love to create and are always challenging their own creativity.
ABOUT THE ARTISTS
Angelo Terracciano
Alaskan born and raised, Angelo has began his career as a stylist in 2006, moved to Seattle in 2012 from Anchorage Alaska in pursuit of expanding his knowledge and career as an Educator with Wella Professionals and has continued his education every year.
Working as an Educator for Wella Professionals, he’s had the luxury of amazing education and has been certified in Wella Cut Craft, Color Craft, Style Craft, as well as all their trend classes that change yearly. In 2016 he was a finalist for Wella Trendvision and competed live in Las Vegas amongst hundreds of viewers.
His favorite services are precision haircuts, asymmetrical haircuts, bleach and tone blondes, classic coloring, creative color, corrective color, tape in hair extensions, and Brazilian blowouts, and loves working with grey hair! Whether you’re trying to cover it up or embrace it.
Outside of work, his passions are cooking, a good cocktail, film in the genre of sci-fi/fantasy/horror, understanding how things work, chemistry, video games, and most definitely the arts.
Darryl Velasco
Seattle transplant born and bred in San Diego, CA, with a decade of barber experience, Darryl Velasco’s first love was graphic design, fashion and architecture. This incredibly meticulous, hardworking artist utilizes his sharp eye for design and fine lines while still upholding the gold standards of yesteryear creating an eclectic mix of styles. Master of precision clipper blending and razor sharp texturizing scissor techniques, you will not be disappointed by the solid craftsmanship of a customized one-of-a-kind haircut.
Beyond hair, Darryl enjoys weightlifting, magic, going to concerts of various genres and plans on traveling around the world.
Loufel Velasco
Seattle native and the ultimate city girl, Loufel started her career journey in 2007 with the determination to be a strong, well rounded stylist and colorist. After working for a large barbershop chain, she found her passion for education after investing her time with frequent advanced training and involvement with the education department.
Not long after, she continued her journey as an independent artist and also becoming an Educator with Wella Professionals. She has become certified in Sebastian Cutting, Backstage Pass which gave her the opportunity to do hair for New York Fashion Week, and has continued to stay invested in continuing education.
She loves creating holistic and customized looks for her clients. If you show her a picture, her first instinct is “let’s make your version of this look”.
When she isn’t creating hair magic, you’ll find her dancing hula and tahitian, crafting floral pieces, nerding out on all things science, or making some sort of organizing chart for fun.
